Sustainable Products
Creating the future with environmentally friendly products
Citizen Systems incorporates environmental impact reduction from the earliest stages of development, advancing environmentally conscious product manufacturing. By delivering only products that meet multifaceted environmental evaluation criteria—including resource conservation, energy efficiency, recyclability, long-term usability, and hazardous chemical substance management—we aim to contribute to a sustainable society.
Green Procurement
We practice "Green Procurement," prioritizing the purchase of products, parts, and raw materials with lower environmental impact from business partners who promote environmental management activities. To reduce environmental impact, we manage chemical substances in procured items across four levels, specifying prohibited substances, conditionally restricted substances, information-managed substances, and process-use prohibited substances.
Chemical Substance Management System
In response to the growing need to comply with global hazardous chemical substance regulations, including Europe's REACH Regulation and RoHS Directive, we have built a system that centrally manages chemical substance information for the parts, auxiliary materials, and packaging materials that make up our products, and aggregates chemical substance content. This system accumulates JAMP-AIS data submitted by our upstream business partners as contained chemical substance information, and based on this data, we provide environmental information to many of our customers.

Based on the "United Nations Global Compact" and the "Citizen Group Code of Conduct," we request our business partners to comply with our "CSR Procurement Guidelines," which summarize key requirements including respect for human rights, environmental conservation, occupational health and safety, and fair trade practices.
