Citizen Systems Inc. (Headquarters: Nishi-Tokyo City, Tokyo, President: Katsutoshi Mukoshima), a consolidated subsidiary of Citizen Holdings Co., Ltd., will launch the Bluetooth®-enabled body composition monitor ‘HMS721C’ on April 17. This product allows users to freely choose between using it as a “body composition monitor” or a “weight scale,” and has evolved for easy operation through integration with the newly developed smartphone app ‘Health Scan,’ making it simpler to record and manage measurement results.

This new product provides users with the flexibility to choose their preferred usage (as a body composition monitor or as a weight scale). For those on a diet or training who wish to know body composition metrics like body fat percentage or muscle mass, the body composition monitor is ideal, while those simply looking to manage their weight may prefer the weight scale. Recognizing these different needs, we developed a single product that caters to both uses, even when shared within a household.

Integration with the ‘Health Scan’ App
‘Health Scan’ is an app that helps users pay attention to their own health by allowing them to easily record and visualize their health status (measurement results) obtained from Citizen healthcare products equipped with Bluetooth®. It also integrates with blood pressure monitors and thermometers, and we plan to increase products compatible with ‘Health Scan’ in the future.
